The time for community is Now. The time to start planning and organizing how to get our rights back is NOW. bring it up at your local LGBT craft events or book club or support group or whatever. Tell your friends. Spread the word. And maybe see which ones will have the safety and resources you'll need should a Lavender Hunt happen in your area.

I looked up the lavender scare last night and was sadly unsurprised to see that the last time the community came together...was a lavender scare.
Pride was a riot because the government started doing to us then what Florida is doing to us now. It was triggered when a man was fired from his job on grounds of being gay and tried to take it to court.
This is why we have pride. This is why "think of the children" is/was an awful rhetoric to push at leather daddies and drag queens. It's not just a bad opinion or stupid discourse, it's a talking point for the right wing to justify fucking kill us.
It was never "just discourse" it was a right wing psyop to cripple us from coming together to fight against attacks just like this.

The Cobb County board voted 4-3 Thursday to terminate the contract of Katherine Rinderle, disagreeing with the recommendation of a panel of retired county educators. She was removed from her classroom in March after a parent complained she’d read “My Shadow is Purple” to her class, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which represents her in part.

Ross Tucker is the scientific advisor for World Rugby and helped organise a 2 day workshop in London in 2020, where experts argued for and against including transwomen in women’s rugby where they considered science (sex differences in performance), medicine (how to lower testosterone and the impact of doing so), law and risk (human rights argument for trans inclusion and the consequences for injury and liability) and ethical and social issues (the losses to transwomen from exclusion and female players from trans inclusion).
This was weighed up by a group of nearly all women, all experts in their fields. Their review paper appeared in Sports Medicine, one of the most prestigious journals in the field.
It demonstrates that testosterone suppression has barely any impact on the sporting performance of people who have been through male puberty. Longitudinal studies find that transwomens lean body mass, muscle area and strength typically fall by less than 5% after one year of testosterone suppression, and very little more thereafter.
World Rugby also commissioned a biomechanics expert to explore the impact of introducing male bodies to women’s game on head and neck mechanics during tackles and found that the risk factors for head injuries increased by at least 20% to 30%.
World Rugby concluded to ban transwomen based on the above evidence.
